pouch
pouch - A container identified by its leather neck strap with a closing latch and eye near the opening (unlike a sack, which is tied). It is generally used for First-Class Mail and registered mail; a special blue and orange pouch is used for Express Mail. Also, the term is used to indicate one unit making up a direct pouch labeled to another unit. In mail processing and dispatch functions, to place mailpieces in pouches.
